gtechna Technology at Work:
Kitchener's Award Winning Story
Kitchener's Award Winning Story
Kitchener is one of the first cities in Ontario to upgrade to AI-driven License Plate Recognition. At the Ontario User Group Meeting, the team will share how they’re using this technology day-to-day and what they’ve learned along the way.
"The system is so precise and effective that once we present drivers with the images—often showing the vehicle with the door open or a sequence of six photos as the vehicle drives by—it becomes clear that the vehicle was indeed parked. The photographic evidence allowed us to reach 100% success rate for contested school zones tickets issued through LPR enforcement."
— Ian Misheal
